Based on Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy and the best selling book, "Hold Me Tight: Seven Conversations for a Lifetime of Love" by Sue Johnson, Ph.D. Seven out of ten couples move from marital distress to repair through Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy.
In a relaxed and beautiful setting, you will learn about the new science of love (based on 100's of research studies). Love is no longer a mystery. If you understand how love works, you can make it grow and last. You can improve, strengthen and even transform your relationship from where ever it is right now, using the tools and information that you will take away from this weekend.
In this workshop you will learn:
- The most essential ingredient for a happy relationship;
- How to deepen your already existing strengths;
- Break the cycle of frustration and loneliness in your relationship;
- Make sense of your own emotions and your partner's;
- The importance of telling your partner what you need in a clear and coherent way;
- Tools for creating lasting trust and intimacy;
- How to heal and forgive injuries in your relationship;
- Understanding that can help you deepen your sexual connection.

The cost for the weekend is $895 per couple (a few sliding scale spots are available as space permits).
The cost includes:
- The Hold Me Tight book sent to you before the workshop if you request it;
- Exercises to take home with you to continue the process after the weekend.
- An engaging experience filled with cutting edge information on the new science of love (based on research), video demonstrations of couples doing the exercises, and the opportunity for many private exercises and conversations with your partner.
- Therapists trained in the EFT model will be available to offer you their support and guidance during exercises as needed.
- Lunch as well as coffee, tea, and light snacks will be provided.
Limited to 14 couples.
12 CE units for MFT's, LCSW's, Educational Psychologists, and Licensed Counselors.
Format and Schedule: Lecture, video presentations, and couples exercises (in private, not in front of the group).
Cancellation Policy: Two weeks before the workshop: Refund all but $100. One week before workshop: Refund of 50%.
